Here we are - top 10.
First up - Vanessa pulls Jack from the hat. Jack pulls Contemporary.
This confirms it - I LOVE Jack. He is just beautiful to watch. And, I think, better than Vanessa. That said, there was a real chemistry between them and it was a beautiful routine to watch.
Judges: Matt - Vanessa's extensions are lovely, Jack's tech is beautiful, needed some more height to the "around the world" lift; Bonnie - great routine, quality, wonderful, loved it; Jason - enjoyed it, Vanessa you are a technical dancer, Jack stronger in places.
Bassingthwaite moment: tonight's dress realllly suits her - it's this white "Flappers" style dress, you know, 1920s era. But she's doing that weird thing with her eyes again... not that she can help it, I guess. It isn't her fault her irises are small.
Next - Kate gets to dance with RHYS!!!!!! And he gets them HIP HOP!!!
"It's kinda complicated..." - he's got them dancing to each other's beats or something.
Damn! Rhys looks soooo hot tonight - he's all scruffy suited up! And Kate's looking pretty good too. Gotta love the shit they were doing with their hands and arms... this amazing "egyptian-style" movement.
Judges: Matt - That was just hot!, loved the remix of the song, intricacy phenomenal, great work; Bonnie - liked the match, they work well together, Rhys really going for the tricks, worry that Kate's face was still in "Jazz-mode"; Jason - disagrees with Bonnie over the Jazz thing, feels it was a Jazz style piece, YES YES YES, it was hot, modern, danced beautifully.
Solo #1
Henry - dancing to a piece from the soundtrack for 300
shades of Pasha from the US version with the red cape but sooooo unique. Damn this boy just oozes "MAN" when he dances.
Judges: Matt - good job, a little more horizontal on a the kick, watch the straqnge mouth thing; Bonnie - loved the theatrical opening, hurricane Henry; Jason - the routine had great showmanship, bravado, feel, but you dance through the music rather than to the music, but thoroughly entertaining.
Solo #2
The mini-bitch. - doing hip hop sorta stuff. *Yawn* Boring. The angry little midget - Rhiannon.
Judges: Matt - great song choice, entertaining, you missed your freeze; Bonnie - would have liked a little bit of meltdown to see a smile; Jason - you're hot, you're a hottie, great routine, very honest, very you, worried about the musicality of the piece.
Solo #3
Anthony - hmmm - a lot of his stuff seems to be flinging his abnormally long arms around. and showing off his incredible flexibility... but there is something mesmerising.
Judges: Matt - in two minds, commends that it was not about the tricks but missed the wow factor; Bonnie - great and love the floor work, it's all so controlled; Jason - a fine technical lyrical dancer, that was a little mono-tonal for him, wanted more light and shade, loved the last 8 beats.
Solo #4
Jemma - shaking her tail feather. I reckon it's sooo hard on the ballroom girls in these things. They are used to having a man to show them off. And you can see it in the routine. It feels disjointed.
Judges: Matt - feels for her dancing solo being a baroom dancer, watch your shoulders, a bit lack lustre; Bonnie - very disappointed, believes she could have gone a lot lot further, need to work hard; Jason - you came unstuck, ahead of the beats in places, the splits are an exercise that don't belong on the stage.
Poor girl is nearly in tears.
Third "new" couple - Demi without her Jack.. now she's got Graeme! And they got contemporary! and he was soooo upset. Third go for him. They're going to be bugs... contortions... intriguing idea.
oooo - interesting bodysuit costumes, all camo. Unison issues in places but still amazing to watch them move.
Judges: Matt - definitely became the routine, last lift was the only shaky bit; Bonnie - WOW WOW WOW, fabulous couple, incredibly difficult shapes, Demi did it so wonderfully, love it; Jason - just loved that, good dancing should evoke emotion and that did, took us on a journey, congratulates the choreographer, such a hard style to do without the background and the two of them did wonderfully.
Solo #5
Vanessa - "How do I live without you?".... she is pretty to watch.
Judges: Matt - loved the light and shade in that, beautiful, great; Bonnie - the genie is out of the bottle; Jason - other solos she's done have been lyrical light and lovely, this was better but need more from the face.
Side Note: Oh look - JD and Camilla are advertising Metamucil!
ooo - competition...193010 vaio laptop
Solo #6
Jack!!!! Mission Impossible theme song.
Damn, I love this boy!
Entertaining plus! And a storyline you can actually follow!
Judges: Matt - wonderful wonderful dancer, problem with it in the too literal aspect; Bonnie - ???missed her... whoops; Jason - good dancing should be entertaining and that was sooo entertaining, you stopped the show, good job.
Solo #7
Kate - Queen of the Night.
Very jazz... has a big old walking stick to dance with.
Judges: Matt - you are performance material; Bonnie - not sure she was Queen of the NIght, that was mediocre, didn't make my heart race, it was alright, I wanted more, you are capable of more; Jason - a little of both, didn't get anything I didn't already know about you.
Solo #8
Rhys - from Trainspotting.
WOW.
Judges: Matt - didn't like the routine, icked him, fab dancer; Bonnie - bits in the middle where you could do better; Jason - loved the top of the routine, the whole routine was powerful, that evoked emotion.
Jemma gets Anthony... they get.......... CHA CHA!!! Ballroom girl gets a dance she'll know.
I'm bored. Anthony's flinging those arms about...
Judges: Matt - routine not as strong as the music, too many freezes; Bonnie - great job; Jason - Jemma's had a dream run so far but tonight is not your night, Anthony is having a good go at it all but that was beige.
Solo #9
Graeme - needs more height to his leaps.... Bohemian Rhapsody.
Judges: Matt - definitely showed what kind of dancer he is, could have used the music more, cheesy ending; Bonnie - works the audience, you can do even better, something in you I want to see; Jason - this was a chance to show what you can do, less is more... a bit manic.
Solo #10
Demi - Sex Machine.
She's just soo much fun. But seemed out of beat...?
Judges: Matt - great show of your tricks, opportunity to see you; Bonnie - opening great, hope you realise how far you've come; Jason - left underwhelmed, expected more, wasn't even dancing to the music, but still loves her.
Oh damn... It's Rhiannon. *sigh* Who got her? Henry. Poor Henry. They're dancing... Jazz!!! mwahahahahahahahahaha
Lyrical Jazz: a story about losing a soul mate. Bit of a Mia Michaels rip here, folks.
dead Rhiannon! mmmm, wrong reaction, right? Henry - woah... that opening move.... okay - I'm moved. I still don't like her. But that was ... wow. You could just feel that one.
Judges: Matt - that was so different for both of them, loved the vulnerability, loved it; Bonnie - this is what we want to see, this is true (Henry's crying), Rhiannon was so within the whole routine, just perfect, best routine tonight; Jason - big responsibility to take on someone's story, honest and heartfelt.
Wonder who goes tomorrow?
